Concept
A universe contained within a small space.
INSPIRATION
A journey through the Andean culture
El Retablo draws on the memory, devotion, community and living traditions of Peru’s highlands. Tradition, identity and contemporaneity are treated as something living — a legacy to be preserved and reinterpreted through the language of fashion.
Organza and ultra-fine Pima cotton meet intricate layering, sheer materials and crochet. Short dresses, capes and fluid silhouettes contrast the delicacy of the fabrics with the expressive character of the artisanal techniques.
DESIGNER
Jorge Luis Salinas
Founder & Creative Director
“My aim is for each garment to serve as a bridge between past and present; for tradition to engage in dialogue with contemporary design and, above all, for the world to discover the cultural richness of our land.”
ATELIER
Woven from the soul, by many hands.
At the heart of J.SALINAS is a close collaboration with Peruvian women artisans who preserve techniques passed down through generations — transforming hand-worked crochet, weaving and embroidery into garments that embody the value of time, skill and human touch.
Materials
Organza
